The participating candidates for District 17 are Jim Geldermann (R) and Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz (D). The participating candidates for District 57 are Daniel Behr (R) and Tracy Katz Muhl (D).
Screening of the new film, Discovering Catharine, by Susan Hope Engel, which explores the life and legacy of Catharine Waugh McCulloch, (1862 - 1945) early female attorney, active Women‘s Club member, and fervent champion of women‘s rights.
All members encouraged and invited to attend.

The keynote speaker will be Maria Hadden, alderwoman of the 49th Ward and the first Black, queer woman elected to Chicago City Council. She represents the 49th Ward– dubbed, “Little Chicago,” because of the racial, ethnic, and economic demographics that most reflect Chicago’s diversity. A panel of local Evanston representatives will be in conversation with Alderwoman Hadden about what we can learn from successes, barriers, and new prospects related to her work on environmental justice.
