Please join the ACLU of Illinois, the League of Women Voters of Evanston and the Unitarian Church of Evanston to learn more about your rights as a voter in Illinois and how elected officials impact the issues you care about– with a special focus on bodily autonomy including abortion rights and gender affirming care.
Our speakers for this critical conversation include:
• Khadine Bennett (she/her) – ACLU-IL Director of Advocacy and Intergovernmental Affairs
• Colleen Connell (she/her)– ACLU-IL Executive Director
• Dr. Cherie Priya Dhar (she/her)– Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
• Rev. Susan Frances (she/her)– Assistant Minister for Congregational Life UCE and ACLU-IL Board Member
• Alicia Hurtado (they/ella)– Movement Building Director, Chicago Abortion Fund
• Ed Yohnka (he/him)– Moderator, ACLU-IL Director of Communications and Public Policy
There will be opportunities to take action and share about what issues are most pressing to you. It is critical that we vote our values and continue to be active in our communities during this election cycle and beyond.
