Fall 2024 Candidate Forums: Online and In-person

As one of the few non-partisan civic organizations that present candidate forums, our communities count on the League of Women Voters forums each election cycle. We bring a century of institutional practice to our forums, formatted to be fair and informative.

Prior to the pandemic, our forums were always in-person events. We quickly adapted to Zoom for the Fall 2020 forums and have continued to utilize that platform. In 2022, we brought in-person forums back into the mix. Whether on Zoom or in-person, we record the forums and post them on the LWVE website following the events.

And what do we have planned for Fall 2024? One Zoom forum and one in-person forum:

Illinois 9th Congressional District Candidate Forum

Fall forums are coordinated with other area Leagues in the election districts. Our 2024 partner Leagues are Arlington Heights–Mt. Prospect–Buffalo Grove, Glenview–Glencoe, Wilmette and Winnetka–Northfield–Kenilworth, and in partnership with Woman’s Club of Wilmette.
