More than a dozen members of the LWVE leadership gathered on June 2, 2025 to recognize the transition from the 2024–2025 to the 2025–2026 Board and the end of our fiscal year. We celebrated the service of several retiring Board members and the addition of new ones. Birch Burghardt graciously offered her home for our gathering and her table for the many delicious dishes contributed by the group. We discussed meeting arrangements for the coming year and began to plan for this issue of the Intercom.  

The most important focus was getting to know each other a little better and learning how each of us was drawn to the League– for one, more than fifty years ago, and for two, just in the past year. We shared our stories of League activities, and we agreed that there is a lot more to do to continue the League’s century of service to the community and support for the electoral process.
