What you need to know–
It’s all on the LWVE.org Website!
Three years ago, when our Communications committee set out to update our website, we began by asking: What important information do our League members and community rely on us to provide? And how can we make it easy to find? The answer is found on those 4 colorful boxes right in the center of our website home page:

The League’s overarching mission is to
empower voters. Clicking on this first blue box will take you to our Voting & Elections page, which contains links to voter registration issues, LWVE's Voter Services activities, and already links to important information on the primary election on March 17, 2026. From this page, you can also click to find contact information for your city, county, state, and federal elected officials.

LWVE no longer prints and mails our newsletter. The
Intercom comes to you via email 5–6 times per year. This purple box takes you to the very latest newsletter, and this page will always contain links to our
Intercom Archives dating back more than 10 years.

Follow this link for action alerts calling for emails or calls to your elected officials, witness slips, or letters to local or state government officials or to the editor of local publications. Links to LWVUS and LWVIL take you to the most current and critical issues where you can make your voice heard.

We
envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge and the confidence to participate. Click this box to learn more about the League, join or renew your membership, or donate to the LWV of Evanston; donations that are directed to our local League support our local activities and programs.
As priorities change and meaningful info is added to the website, we will update these boxes to point you to the most critical issues voters need to know. We suggest you log on regularly and check out what’s new.
Of course you can click through our main menu at the top of every page to explore all of the content– it’s all on the website!*

And if it’s not on our site, but should be, please reach out to our webmaster, Mary Lewis, or any of the LWVE leaders. We’re eager to add pertinent content and are enthusiastically open to suggestions.
