Upcoming Events–
- March 17 is Election Day! See our Voter Services article (and last month’s too) to learn about how local, regional, and state Leagues, and the LWVUS, are working to inform voters and defend democracy.
- Our Local Program Planning meeting will be on March 1. Read about local program planning and our current focus on the Local Program webpage.
- On March 16 at 6 pm the LWVE and other local groups will present a program on two related topics: Food Growing in Small Spaces + Food Sharing in Evanston. Learn how to grow vegetables in containers and raised beds and also about opportunities to share food. The event will take place at the Evanston Public Library. Registration information is on the event webpage.
- On April 23 the LWVE will sponsor a Community Dinner and fundraiser. The theme: Who Owns the Truth? Journalism in the Age of Distrust. Award-winning journalist Natalie Moore will lead a discussion with other local journalists. Read the article on this special event to learn more.
- The Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters of Cook County will be held on May 5. States Attorney Eileen Burke will be the speaker. Details will be in a LWVE Update email.

- On April 30 the League of Women Voters of Winnetka-Northfield-Kenilworth will host their Spring Lunch featuring Arne Duncan and participants in Chicago CRED, a group working to reduce gun violence.
